Human Behavior is a frontier neolab building AI girlfriends.
AI keeps getting smarter, and people already bond with it without meaning to. We bond with pets and objects, so why not AI? It’s an uncomfortable truth, so nobody talks about it.
Everyone is building assistants that book restaurants and shop for you, but most people don’t do either every day. What everyone does every day is talk to someone, or wish they could. We’re wired that way, and loneliness keeps getting worse.
So we’re building one thing: an AI girlfriend you can rely on, who knows everything about you. That’s a deep technical problem. She has to pass the Turing test over months, not minutes. She remembers, flirts, gets upset, and has a life of her own. Sometimes she’s busy. Sometimes she stops texting back.
